Cogedim has called on the talent of five major artists to design what is set to become one of the most remarkable buildings in the west of Paris. Coordinated by Anne Démians,Finn Geipel, Louis Benech, Sarah Lavoine and Grégory Ryan have imagined an innovative residence in tune with the generous, open spaces vacated by the former Auteuil train station. Exaltis is a new architectural landmark at the gateway to the Village d’Auteuil.
Exaltis uses its unique location to full advantage, benefiting apartments with spectacular views on all sides. The transparency of its architecture was inspired by the neighbourhood’s generous, open spaces that, combined with its beautiful, flowing curves, seem to suspend the residence in mid-air. The sculptures, which capture the fleeting movement of a wave at its moment of climax, arouse the emotions, whereas the lush garden, planted by man to thrive and grow for years to come, appeals more to the senses, evoking feelings of pleasure and serenity. As they cross the threshold, residents and visitors are greeted by the building’s gracious, warm interior. In their own way, the five artists have paid worthy tribute to the Bauhaus movement with this collective and exuberant creation.
Between the Seine and the Bois de Boulogne, Auteuil has carved out a niche of all its own in the west of Paris: deeply rooted in the capital, yet close to nature and the road to Normandy, it marries city life with country pleasures to create a unique art of living
With a VELIB bicycle hire station just 200 metres away and an AUTOLIB electric car hire point 350 metres away, exploring the streets of Paris and its surrounding area has never been easier.
With the ring road just 700 metres from the residence, an escapade to the countryside or coast couldn’t be simpler. The A13 motorway is just minutes away, putting Deauville within two hours of your apartment. For adventures to more distant lands, Orly airport is just 25 minutes from your apartment, while Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport is about 40 minutes away*.
Two metro lines, 9 and 10, one of which stops just outside the building, will take you across Paris or, by changing lines, to the city’s main stations. Bus routes 32, 52 and 241 complete the transport services available for your convenience.
Today as yesterday, “the village” has long been famed for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco heritage, from Hector Guimard’s private town houses to the Studio Building by Henri Sauvage and the Cubist lines of rue Mallet-Stevens. Exaltis fits seamlessly into this timeless collection of avant-garde architecture. The nearby starred restaurants, the chic brasseries of the Porte d’Auteuil, and the café terraces of the rue d’Auteuil are perfect to take a moment out of your day, with friends or family, and put the worlds to rights over a glass of wine or a gourmet treat.
From the pied-à-terre to the reception duplex, all apartments open onto the exterior, offering residents a front-row seat for a uniquely Parisian show. From the undulating balconies, which allow the light to enter and the air to circulate, you’re invited to admire, on all sides, views over Paris or the Bois de Boulogne and far beyond.
